Ilocos Sur National High School celebrated its 121st High School Day on Saturday, the 25th of March 2023. The celebration was delayed for three years because of the pandemic brought on by COVID-19, but finally it happened. The celebration of High School Day at Ilocos Sur National High School had the theme "Renewed Commitment in Defying Odds to Transcend Heights of Excellence and Solidarity". The commemoration was divided into three parts.
Luckily, I got the chance to go even though it was said that only the participants were allowed to go to the school for the celebration of high school day. I watched the field demo; calisthenics were performed by the selected students of every grade level from 7 to 12. It was amazing to watch, partly because the performers were dancing alongside the step. It was pleasing to the eyes. Also, the festival dance by the Grade 9 students Lastly, the performance of the champion, 1st place, and 2nd place in hip-hop dance was performed by grade 10 students. After that, I decided to go somewhere.
This celebration is significant because of the number of
years it has served the community. The celebration was awesome, and even though
not all students were present like how high school day went in the past years,
it was still great. After being postponed for almost three years, the high
school day was finally celebrated!
